Our perspective changes over time. Certain events may be altered so as to mesh with our current belief systems. What once was holy is now an illusion, only recaptured in revisitation to an older state of mind.
Wishing to return is futile. We must build new sanctuaries. This requires effort and occasionally a miracle.
