Petrified Forest

One of our most memorable stops was at the Petrified Forest National Park.

Meteor Crater

Our next stop was Meteor Crater in Arizona. It is the result of a collision between a meteor traveling 26,000 miles per hour and the planet earth approximately 50,000 years ago. I was overjoyed to purchase a piece of the meteor at the gift store. We also got Rosco a cute bandana, the poor guy had to wait in the car because no pets were allowed.

The Grand Canyon

We visited the Grand Canyon and it is as awesome as any tale had led us to believe. God’s creation is wondrous. Rosco enjoyed the Grand Canyon as much as we did.

Old Smoky's Restaurant

On our way to the Grand Canyon we stop at Old Smoky's Restaurant. They must have the world's largest pancakes!

Kingman, Arizona

Our first stop was in Kingman, Arizona. The desert landscape was remarkable. It is sometimes referred to as the heart of historic Route 66.
